“When my husband and I decided it was time to buy our first home, we had no idea where to start. I had met Kurt Engel through a music class our kids took together and during one of our “get to know you” conversations he mentioned he was a real estate agent. Although initially I had worried that it would be awkward to have our new friendship complicated by a working relationship, we ultimately managed to nurture our friendship AND he helped us buy our first home as well!
As first time buyers, we required a lot of attention. While we knew what we wanted, getting there was a long journey. We went to many open houses and Kurt was always available on a whim to give us a special showing. He was consistently patient with our endless questions and was always careful not to interject his opinion on a property. We were devastated when our first bid went to a home that we ultimately lost, but Kurt was so supportive through the entire negotiation process that we truly believed him when he promised we would find a house that was right for us, and we did!
When our dream home came on the market, we knew we needed to be aggressive. Kurt was there every step of the way, making sure we did everything we could to make our dream a reality. Whether this meant meeting us on a moment’s notice, negotiating with the sellers to make sure all went well or taking pictures of us signing papers, it was done and before we knew it we were holding the keys of our new home!
Kurt was more than a real estate agent for us; he became our friend in the process while maintaining an extremely harmonious working relationship. I think he was almost as happy as we were when our dream home became ours. What made Kurt so special was his reputation as an honest, reliable and knowledgeable real estate agent. We have been in our home for almost a year and we have Kurt Engel to thank for that!”
